The Carpet and Claws

In season two, episode one (2.001,  May the Giant Be With You ), Maddy Ferguson has a vision in the Palmer living room. The carpet near her chair rapidly becomes darkened by a stain or an effect called pooling, or sometimes watermarking, which happens when fibers are moved in an opposing direction. The reason I question if it is a stain is that claw marks seem to appear after the darkness has spread.  Notice the marks intentionally raked across the carpet (Below).

Erik Powell's Eyes

Erik Powell is the name of the victim whose body Windom Earle leaves in Sheriff Truman's office for Agent Cooper in episode 20 (Checkmate, 2.013). Mr. Powell is portrayed by Kyle MacLachlan's brother, Craig MacLachlan.

Note that when Powell's body is first found, his right eye is white, and greatly resembles that of a doppelganger's eyes.

Eric Powell, Craig MacLachlan, Twin Peaks

When we return to his body in the opening of the continuing episode (episode 21, 2.014, Double Play) Powell's eyes appear to be of a dark hue when viewed in close-shots.

However, from a distance, we can see that his right eye is still white. His eyes move from looking straight to being crossed.

In episode 22 (2.015, Slaves and Monsters), we see a photograph of Erik when he was still living. One eye appears to be white in the image as well. Perhaps Mr. Powell was blind in his right eye. If so, blindness in one eye is reminiscent of Nadine Hurley's blindness as well, though it is her left eye rather than her right.
