Orange Juice and Lemonade Pitchers

An orange juice carafe or pitcher is seen on the Briggs' table as they gather for diner in episode one (Traces to Nowhere, 1.001).

It is later seen at the Double R Diner in episode 11 (Laura's Secret Diary, 2.004) as Norma rushes to stop Toad from sampling from the menu.

We can also see the pitcher as Shelly delivers Windom's order in episode 24 (2.017, Wounds and Scars)

You can also see the pitcher by Norma, this time holding flowers, in episode 15 (2.008, Drive With a Dead Girl). It undoubtedly appears in other episodes as well.

The glassware was made by the Anchor Hocking company in the 1970s or 1980s. I found carafes/pitchers with the same appearance dated 1987, though the one in my possession is undated.

Searching for an earlier release date, I found where the Anchor Hocking Museum's site offers several books featuring the company's many products. One book features the same pitcher on the cover. All of the glassware in that particular guide is stated to have been made from 1950-1970.

A similar earlier pattern was available from Anchor Hocking. From what I have read online, it appears to have been made in the late 1950s.

Matching glasses were also available with the later pitcher.

The carafe/pitcher is easily found on sites such as Etsy and eBay. I found mine by chance in a thrift store. The glass is thick and weighted. I read that it keeps liquids cool for hours if the glass is stored in a freezer prior to use.

In the image below (from episode 11) a second carafe or pitcher rests beside the Anchor Hocking orange juice piece. I believe the other pitcher was made by Pyrex, possibly in the 1970s. It can easily be found online with the search "Pyrex Lemonade Pitcher (or carafe)".
