Denise Bryson's Style

This post focuses on Denise Bryson's style as it appears in the second season of Twin Peaks and The Return.
Denise's sense of style is visually appealing, functional, and conveys her professionalism. As usual, Hawk was right in his statement that Denise's selection of a dark gray suit was a "good color" for her. When we see her at the Milford Wedding, and as she encourages Ernie Niles to cooperate, she wears complementary tones of yellow and orange. Denise wears her gold watch and black heels throughout her time in Twin Peaks. As the FBI Chief of Staff, Denise's style remains polished.

Season Two, Episode 11 (Masked Ball),

Denise appears to wear a dark gray suit jacket and matching knee-length skirt, and a beige blouse. She carries a black briefcase and wears a gold watch and a mother-of-pearl pendant. Her hair is loose and slightly curled with bangs.
The lone silver button at her neck.

Her blouse may be satin.

Note the buttons at the wrist and the jacket pockets.

Her gold watch and the cut of her jacket.

She appears to wear light brown eyeshadow with a pearlescent highlight.

Denise wears darker and thicker eyeliner. She lines her upper and lower eyelids.

When Denise attends the Milford wedding, she wears an avocado and mustard-yellow pattern open-front jacket, a mustard-yellow blouse, a brooch, a belt, a brown skirt, and black heels. Her nails are painted a vibrant red.

Her brooch appears to be gold-tone with two pink jewels framing a pearl.

Denise's makeup. Her lip color is darker than translates here.

Her eyes are lined with black eyeliner and she wears mascara.

Season Two, Episode Twelve (Black Widow)

Agent Bryson wears a navy blue double-breasted suit with a white button-down blouse, black heels, and a green beaded necklace when she visits Cooper and a jealous and inquisitive Audrey Horne. Her nails remain red.

Denise's suit jacket has four golden buttons.

Denise's white blouse appears to have an embosed collar. It may be satin. It has a sheen.

Denise's beaded necklace has three large green beads and several of white, black and silver.

The Mauve Zone

Denise wears a gray jacket over her suit when she speaks to Ernie Niles at the Double R Diner.

Denise removes her jacket as she and Cooper question Ernie at the Great Northern Hotel.

Season Two, Episode Thirteen (Checkmate)

Denise wears a bold geometric print dress, a necklace, and a faux crocodile skin belt with her black heels. She files her nails, and they appear to be free of their vibrant red polish.

Denise goes undercover in a double-breasted black suit with a red pocket hankerchef, white and black striped shirt, geometic-print tie, and a pinky ring. She has tied her hair in a ponytail.

As Denise is held hostage by Jean Renault, we can see that she has added a jacket to her ensemble. She also may be wearing suspenders.

Denise wears a Double R Diner uniform as she helps rescue Agent Cooper. The sweater she wears over her uniform has also been worn by Norma and will later be worn by Annie. She wears black thigh-high hose, garters and black high heels.

The Return Part Four

Denise's Chief of Staff look is distenguished and approachable. She wears a wine red jacket and skirt, a light pink shirt and black heels. She pairs this with a pearl and gold accent necklace, pearl earrings, a pearl bracelet, a watch, and three gold rings. She wears light pink nail polish to match her shirt.

Denise's shirt has a fitted waistband.

Behind the scenes images allow more detail regarding her shirt and jewelry.

The slippers she wears here are for the actor's benefit.

She wears an American flag and FBI pin.

Denise appears to wear a smokey dark gray shadow near her lash line and brown eyeshadow on her upper lids. She appears to be wearing false lashes. She seems to be wearing a light pink lip gloss.

Overall, I feel Denise's wardrobe speaks of her authority and dedication to her job. Her more colorful pieces speak of her softer, spirited side.
