Ronette Pulaski's Style

This post covers Ronette Pulaski's costumes as they appear in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and the original series. All images of Ronette in lingerie and hospital gowns have been omitted. With the latter, it is because the hospital gowns were not Ronette's choice.
Ronette's personal style is showcased on only three occasions: When she encounters Laura in the Pink Room, meets with Laura, Jacques and Leo, and when Agent Cooper asks her to visit the Sheriff's Department.
Ronette's coral dress evokes a slightly modernized greaser style, perhaps giving us a glimpse of her personality. Laura wrote in her diary, "Not only do I love my job at the perfume counter, but I adore working with someone as cool as Ronnette." Her male style contemporary in Twin Peaks would most likely be James Hurley, marking a similarity in Laura's taste in partners. Like Laura, Ronette's looks can conjure the past, and her style seems to change at night when she seeks darkness.
Her deep brown hair is paired with jewel tones and a floral print. Red seems to accompany her. She is effortlessly chic.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me

The first time we see Ronette, she is wearing a spaghetti-strap floral blouse or dress. This is one of the few examples of a style seen in Twin Peaks that could pass for Summer wear.

Ronette's blouse or dress as seen on the open-matte DVD.

Her long dark hair appears to be styled to evoke an earlier time.

Ronette's dress or blouse appears to have a tropical pattern of flowers and leaves. It may be gray or teal.

Ronette's eyes are accented by golden brown eyeshadow and dark eyeliner. Her lighter lip color draws attention to her eyes.

When Laura meets Leo, Jacques, and Ronette in the woods, Ronette wears a brown suede or leather jacket, a coral or salmon off-the-shoulder long-sleeve, knee-length dress, black pumps, and hoop earrings.

Details of her dress and hair.

Ronette may be wearing tights. Her slip is visible in the still above.

As Ronette applies lipstick, we can see by her sleeve that the dress has a raised embossed texture.

As she studies the mirror, Ronette's eyes seem to say she is not happy at Jacques' cabin.

She wears brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner, and cherry red lipstick.

The promotional images below allow us to see her dress pattern in greater detail.

Episode 29 (2.022, Beyond Life and Death)

When Agent Cooper asks Ronette to visit the Sheriff's office, her hair is shorter and straightened. She pairs a white turtleneck blouse with a gray, black, and seemingly red-patterned sweater, a red leather jacket, a gray and black tweed skirt, black tights, and flat shoes that may be loafers. Her look reminds me more of what Donna might wear. She even seems to be wearing a sweater similar in make to one of Donna's.

Note the buttons and the pattern tracing them. It is similar to the sweater below. Ronette's cardigan fastens near the ribs.

A costume Polaroid allows us to see more details of her ensemble.

Part Three (Call for Help) of The Return

A being who looks like Ronette Pulaski wears a red knit top with a raised polka-dot pattern, a digital watch, and blue jeans. Her hair is straight and chin length.

The American Girl has a simple, everyday modern look.

The being's watch is digital and unlike the watches of the original series, which were mostly vintage.

Behind the Scenes Feature, I Had Bad Milk in Dehradun.

The knitwear top seems to have tortoise shell buttons.

Details of the polka dots. As can be seen in the first photo, at her shoulder, the dots seem to be raised.
