Lucy's Miss Twin Peaks Dress

Lucy Moran's Miss Twin Peaks dress allows us to see her outside of casual her work wear. The off-shoulder sweetheart neckline dress features an outer layer of black lace that drapes like a shawl over a black velvet bodace with a possibly taffeta sky blue skirt. 

Notice the lace trailing down her back.

The dress appears to be a Dessy Creations dress by Vivian Diamond, judging by a former Etsy listing. The company exists to this day and specializes in bridal and formal wear.

For some reason this gorgeous vintage gown reminds me of Scarlett O'hara in Gone With The Wind. It's sort of a 1980's take on a Civil War era gown. It's a jet black velvet fitted sleeveless bodice with a black lace shawl collar that drapes over the shoulders & has a big grosgrain ribbon bow in the front center. The very full formal skirt is amazing & my photos don't come close to catching the iridescent beauty of the soft light blue/ moss green silk taffeta. It has an almost sharkskin quality to it. Under it has a white tulle petticoat. This gown was gently worn only 1 time in 1980's then it was stored away in a box, so it truly looks almost brand new with only wrinkles. I did not want to put heat or steam to the fabric so I chose to leave the wrinkles.
